ECNL-RL stands for Elite Clubs National League Regional League and was founded to improve the daily environment for youth soccer players through a collaborative club-based development program featuring competition, player identification, and coaching and club development platforms. The ECNL-RL will include both regular season conference games and cross-conference events, and qualifying teams will advance to the ECNL-RL Post Season event, held in conjunction with the ECNL PostSeason.
The biggest difference between ECNL and ECNL-RL is that ECNL-RL plays teams in their region (Avalanche will compete in the ECNL-RL Mountain Region - Utah and Colorado), while our ECNL teams play nationally.
ECNL and ECNL-RL playing structures operate quite similarly with year round seasons and top level tournaments, including the Open Cup where the ECNL-RL has the opportunity to compete against ECNL teams.
ECNL-RL serves a deeper player pool from member clubs of the Elite Clubs National League and provides a competitive platform for objective evaluation of new clubs to become ECNL member clubs in the future.
