What Is ECNL Boys?
The Boys Elite Clubs National League (Boys ECNL) was founded to improve the daily environment for boys youth soccer players through a collaborative club-based development program featuring competition, player identification, and coaching and club development platforms. The Boys ECNL will include both regular season conference games and cross-conference events, and qualifying teams from the Boys ECNL will advance to the postseason Elite National Premier League (ENPL) Playoffs.
The Boys ECNL is based on the values of grass-roots collaboration and innovation, and supports the independence and freedom of coaches and clubs to fully manage the development path for their players, including the system and style of play, the competitive calendar, and all aspects of the development path. The Boys ECNL will raise standards in training, competition, club organization, and coaching in a holistic development program.

What is the mission of the Utah Avalanche ECNL Program ?
Utah Avalanche Boys ECNL program is for players u13 and up that compete in the Elite Clubs National League. It is designed to offer the highest levels of training and competition for high potential players in Utah.
Mission Statement
Utah Avalanche’s Boys ECNL mission is to develop elite soccer players with the potential to continue to play at high performance levels during adulthood and to forge a career within soccer. We want to do this by attracting the best players and providing the best training and competition environment for player and personal development.
Vision Statement
The vision for the Boys ECNL program is to be a club that produces professional soccer players on a regular basis. From that lofty goal we expect a trickledown effect of more college players, more adult players, and more driven individuals who know what it takes to go after a dream.
We will do this through focusing upon higher standards in the following areas:
Player development - Defined and implemented playing style, game model, training methodology, player values, player support.
Coaching Standards - The highest standards of coaching in the state of Utah, including expected licensing, experience and procedures.
Parent support - Mandatory seminars 3 times per year for parents of ECNL players to help them support their child's development.
Player pathways - Create relationships with professional clubs all around the world to create opportunities for young men to play professionally.
What does this mean for the Boys Utah Avalanche Program?
As a member club of the Boys Elite Clubs National League Utah Avalanche will have a competitive games platform to complete against the top clubs in the country in each age group from u13 - u19. We, along with La Roca as ECNL members, are the only clubs in the state of Utah able to offer elite level play on a national stage for every age group.
What will the level of play look like?
The level of play will be extremely high. We will be competing against some of the best clubs and against some of the best players in the country. With the demise of US Soccer’s Development Academy this year The boys Elite Club National League has seen many ex DA clubs join helping the ECNL to become the destination for top teams and players in the US.
Who will we compete against in the boys ECNL?
In Utah there are only 2 clubs with membership to the boys ECNL. Utah Avalanche and La Roca. We will be playing in the Mountain Conference against the top teams from Colorado and New Mexico. This will be the highest level of play offered in our club.

What Utah Avalanche teams will play in the ECNL?
We will have 6 total ECNL teams from u13 - u19. Our top teams and players will compete in the Elite Clubs National League
Will my son be allowed to play High School?
Yes, players can play High Soccer if they choose to. High School soccer is optional for all our Utah Avalanche players. If a player chooses not to play high school then we will continue to train them in our elite training environment.
